Essential beauty tools that will make life easier.

We're on the lookout for the best makeup products and brushes but there are some more useful tools that will be of quite some help if you have them around. So here's my little list of the essential beauty tools, which in my humble opinion, should be a part of every girl's stash.

1) Cotton Swabs or Ear Buds

They can be used for blending eye shadows and harsh lines. You can also use them on the lower lash line for soft shading.

2)  Cleansing Cloths

They're fragrant and refreshing so you can also carry them to college, work etc. They're helpful when you need a quick face clean up and they remove makeup quite well.

3) Cotton Pads

These come in rounds as well as squares. They're good for cleansing and cleaning up little makeup flaws.

4) Shark Clips

You've seen them at almost every salon and I bought myself a pack as they're very helpful with hair styling. I don't have to grab several pins and clips to hold my hair. A must have for ladies who are eager to try on different hair styles.

5) Cotton Balls

I've been using these for ages and I love them. They do a great job with cleansers and makeup removal and I'd prefer them over regular cotton anytime.

6) Facial Sponge

If you do facials at home or even routine cleansing, facial sponges are a must have. Go for ones that have a smooth texture and keep at least 2-3 in your drawer. They're great for removing facial products and clean up after you're done.

7) Eye Shadow Applicators

The makeup industry has changed the rules and we've moved away from eye shadow applicators to brushes. But I still think having a few around is not a bad idea. I still use them for my eye makeup, specially when I don't have a brush for a specific something or I just can't work with it. I got a pack of 30's.

8) Powder Puffs

Extra powder puffs are mandatory. I don't like using the ones that come with foundation for my powder.

Availability: I got most of my stuff from Naheed's. You'll also find these at Chase Up stores and online at Just4Girls and Beauty Arena.

That's it for my post. I hope you found it useful. If you feel I've missed out on something do share in a comment. Enjoy!

  1. Such a great post Kiran :) I keep a few of these things handy myself. You know sponges are so good for applying baked shadows or shimmery shadows that have a lot of fallout. I use cotton buds for blending kohl pencil on the lower lash line too.

    1. Thanks :) I agree, sponges work great with baked eye shadows and cotton buds blend the shadow well on the lower lash line.
