How to increase your water intake when you're as lazy as a Sloth

Water is one the main reasons of survival and despite the numerous benefits it provides, every 8 out of 10 people (in my opinion) just don't care about their water intake irrespective of gender or age. I'm one of the 8 and just beginning to skip to the other side because I just kind of realized the damage I have caused myself due to my ignorance and what more harm it can cause if I don't do something about it. So, if you're as lazy as a Sloth or more like me, then you better read more and thank me at the end ;).

OK, so I'm not going to lecture about the good things water can do to your body and skin etc as all that has been talked about a gazillion times now. I'll keep it quick and simple and tell, how you can increase the amount of water you intake on a daily basis, just like I did.

1. Make it a morning habit

I've started to drink one full glass on an empty stomach every morning right after I freshen up. There's no special reason but just an excuse to early intoxication.

2. Skip small sips

Drinking a whole glass whenever you feel like drinking water really helps. Why you ask? Read the heading.

3. Water an hour before food and after food

Yup, that's 2 more glasses and none between the meal.

4. Taking meds? Don't forget a "Full Glass"

Whether you're taking supplements or medication, one tablet or more, gulp with a full glass or even 2 if you can.

5. Find a random excuse

So, either stand in front of the dispenser or "pretend" that you're thirsty while just passing by, have another glass.

Bonus tip: Set an hourly to two hourly alarm as a reminder for water intake. Set the snooze on in case you're super lazy and won't move until the alarm drives you nuts.

So upon following the above guidelines, you should be consuming about 5 to 6 glasses of water a day. My target is 8 though but it's good for a start.

I hope you enjoyed the post. Don't forget to leave a comment or share your personal tips if any. Ciao!
