Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lip Balm 710 Drive Me Nude-Review, Photos, Swatches

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lip Balm 710 Drive Me Nude
Company/Brand Claim: A long-lasting intense colour balm in a handy jumbo pencil.
Balm formula offers all-day comfort and a long-lasting surge of moisture.

Result: Trusting my intuition I picked this beauty from the counter even though it was only one piece left and the representative didn't have any tester for it. I expected it to be that proper beige nude as the name hints to it but "drive me nude" turned out to be somewhat different.

The lip balm is beautifully packaged in a colored chubby twist up pencil and chrome silver text. The tip is soft and gentle and I like the fact that it doesn't run out quickly like it usually happens with most lip balms. Here's to hoping it will grace my vanity for a good amount of time. Upon application it smoothly glides on the lips leaving a sheer beige nude hue and applies semi frosted at first. Within sometime you can actually feel something melting on the lips as it settles and turns slightly pinkish. So I suppose the actual color is "nude pink". It didn't go anywhere for the first 3 hours and then I tested it by eating an apple and well, it did lighten a bit but didn't completely disappear. So in conclusion it will last for 5-6 hours generally. Since it is cream based, it does slightly stain glass and there's nothing that can be done about that. The fragrance is non irritating and smells like cookies and cream at some point. I love how it moisturizes but if you have extremely dry lips like mine it may slightly enhance fine lines. You can wear it everyday and it can very well be coordinated with the classic black smokey eye look.
