Real Techniques Collectors Edition Eye Lining Set-Review, Photos

Result: I love eye liners! And I believe a beautifully lined eye has all the glamour quotient if one is in a hurry and can't do complete makeup. Likewise I also love trying new eye liner brushes so when Real Techniques launched this collectors edition set I knew I had to get it. Here's what I think.

The set comes in a hard plastic case with the brushes and a carrying pouch resting neatly. All the details and message from the developers are mentioned on the pack. Opening up that box takes a bit of an effort but once you're done it feels great to hold those weightless, beautiful metallic purple brushes in hand. The additional pouch has a flap opening and travel friendly but I wouldn't say it is amazing quality but that doesn't matter to me. My concern were the brushes.

So you get 4 of them. The first one is the Precision liner brush which has a pointed tip and is perfect for creating precise lines or that pointed wing along the tear duct. If you're into thin eye lining this brush is all the help you need.

Next is the Smudge brush which is very versatile. Not only can it smudge eye liner along the lower lash line, but it is also a handy eye shadow brush and great for under eye brow highlighting.

Next is the Eye liner brush which is great for creating that sharp edged line. The ones you see on Instagram. Other than that I've also used if for filling in my eye brows.

And last is the Pointed liner brush which I use the create cat eyes. It looks very similar to the brush that comes with Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner (read review).

The quality of these brushes is amazing. I have not experienced and shedding or bleeding from these. Plus the bristles are soft and make the application easier. It feels a bit weird when you hold them for the first time because they are just so thin and weightless but that isn't really a con in my humble opinion. But do be careful and only purchase from trusted sellers as replicas are out and circulating everywhere.
