The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator-Review, Photos, Swatch

Company/Brand Claim: A soap-free facial scrub that effectively deep cleanses blocked pores and exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, excess oil, impurities and daily grime.

For Skin Type: Oily/Combination

Packaging: White plastic tube with a flip up cap.

Product Coverage: -

Formulation: Scrub

Texture and Feel: Thick gel with granules.

Color: Transparent

Fragrance: A slight non irritating chemical smell.

Application: Apply morning and evening in circular motions.

Result: To deal with combination skin is not easy but I've noticed that products with seaweed extracts always work for me. I wanted to switch to a better cleanser so I gave the TBS seaweed range a try. To be honest, I've never been happier about a cleanser. It's a miracle product. The gel penetrates through the skin pores to purify them and the scrub does the extra job of removing dead skin. It leaves the skin feeling fresh and cool after you wash it off. The results are actually visible. If your skin is prone to acne and it gets oily very often, this is a staple for you, specially during summers. Removes makeup with ease, so you don't need an extra cleanser or makeup remover. It doesn't irritate the skin at all but ladies with normal to dry skin stay away, as it is very drying and will enhance dry patches on the face. "It is strictly for oily skin types".  The best thing is, you only need a tiny bit of the amount as it lathers quickly and covers the entire face. It's a two in one product and I don't have to invest in a separate scrub. It doesn't claim to lighten acne scars and control acne which is a good thing because then I wouldn't have repurchased it. It does what it says. Some might find it a bit expensive but it's totally worth the bucks.
Staying Power: My skin stays oil free for 4-5 hours. I use it two times daily which is enough.

Times Tested: Several times.

Cons: None

  6. Nice review :) Not for my combo skin though I am afraid.

    1. I have combination skin as well. And it suits me :) have you tried it before?

  7. My skin has already started to get really dry so I'll pass for now. Great review though :)

  8. I have combination skin that leans oily in the Summer and drier in the Winters. This one is my go-to scrub in hotter weather. Seaweed range generally takes times to suit someone's skin, but then it really becomes a necessity :P

Thank you for reviewing this. Much love! :)
