Result: The first time I've ever bought a gel eye liner. I've always been hesitant towards these and use pencil and liquids but when my cousin asked me to use this, it pushed me to get one for myself. I have to say the Maybelline lasting drama gel liner is the blackest of all black eye liners ever. Why I'm so sure about this, is because I have tried tons of liners and most of them have been black. This one is just great. The best thing about it is the power to hold onto the eyes. It is insanely water proof and I had to rub my eye area with my facial wash two times to lighten it. Then I used a soft towel to get off the rest.
I am bonkers for great packaging. I love glass containers and vintage prints and I believe quality makeup deserves to rest in equally beautiful packaging. Maybelline understands this pretty well. The liner is packed in a adorable frosted glass jar with an aluminum top, which twists open smoothly. The liner of course, is a gel texture and applies without any fuss. Dries almost instantly and does not create a streak of liner above the crease, which usually happens with liquid liners, if I blink my eye and the liner is not dry. It comes with a brush of its own, which ensures easy application. The brush tip is slightly pointed at the end, which helps create a winged and cat line effect with ease. I recently wore it at my sister's wedding and it stayed on all those hours without fading or bleeding. And, it is fragrance free.

Conclusion: Maybelline has been one of my favorite drugstore brands for years now. The lasting drama gel eye liner is a must own product. No one will ever regret having it. Recommended? a Big Yes!
